Biography

James
New York, New York, United States
James Marsella was born and raised in New Jersey. He developed a love for art at an early age, but it was only after the encouragement of a ceramics teacher in high school that he decided to get an education in fine art. After high school, James proceeded to attend the Savannah College of Art and Design, where he is currently pursuing a BFA in Sculpture and Ceramic Arts. In recent years he has been included in many ceramics and sculpture exhibitions in the southeast. His work employs non-traditional uses of ceramics, metal fabrication, and the exploration of alternative materials such as plastics and polymer clays to translate his concepts into three-dimensional forms. His current body of work deals with consumerism and the effects of human influence on the natural world. Contact Information: James.Marsella86@gmail.com
